Child safety & parental consent
How we protect students, who can contact us about a child, and when we use photographs.
Draft, version 2026-10-24-draft. Working draft for owner and legal review — not final, not reviewed by a lawyer, not legal advice.
Our commitment
Kausala's School Program is for children in Classes 6–9. Safety comes before the build. Sessions are supervised, tools are introduced with care, and low-voltage battery circuits are used for school electronics work.
This policy is a draft and will be reviewed with the owner and legal adviser before launch.
Guardian consent
A parent or guardian must make or authorise the enquiry and accept this policy. We do not create student accounts and Student logins on the console (console.kausala.in) are created and managed by the academy; the guardian controls access.
We communicate about a student's place, progress and certificate with the guardian contact provided, unless the guardian asks us to include the student.
Supervision and conduct
Staff and trainers work in shared, visible spaces and do not take a child off site without guardian permission. Any concern about staff conduct should be reported immediately to the grievance contact on this site.
We keep a record of attendance and of any incident or injury at a session, and inform the guardian as soon as practicable.
Photographs and project work
We do not publish photographs, names or project work that identifies a child without written guardian consent. Consent is requested separately for specific uses such as a showcase page or report.
Where consent is not given, a child can still take part; we will use hands-only or non-identifying images, or no image at all.
Reporting a concern
Report a safeguarding concern to grievance@kausala.in or call +91 91606 17478. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
We will acknowledge a concern, record what we know, and explain the next step without sharing the child's information more widely than necessary.
Data of children
We collect only what is needed to run the programme and keep the child safe. We do not use children's data for advertising or sell it. See the Privacy Notice for access, correction and deletion requests.
